BEING HEALTHY

Being healthy is different for everyone, I mean it could mean exercising or eating right. Well you need both exercise and eating healthy. You obviously don't want to eat fatty foods all the time but yeah once in a while its OK... as long as you burn the fat by exercising (like running or taking a long walk). On fitness days, Tuesdays and Fridays, I think we should work as hard as we can and as hard as our body lets us because it is for our own benefit. I think the teachers put together fun ways of working out (like the poker and relay),so it would be fun and have a challenge at the same time. It makes me look forward to something and enjoy it! After fitness days, I can feel that I am sore, which tells me that I've worked hard. Sometimes when I don't notice that I'm not doing much, our teachers assistance Alyssa encourages everyone, which helps. PE is wonderful and I'm looking forward to the next day!:)

BEEP TEST

On fitness Tuesday we had to do the  beep test. At the end I was happy with myself because I improved. The last time we had the beep test I scored 4.7 and this time I got 5.0.At the same time I am disappointed because I knew I could of done better. I could have ran more beeps but I chose not to, I think I didn't push myself to keep going :(
After the beep test we did activities like stretching and cardio for the time we had left. I improved on those too! On the T-Test last time I got 14.4s and this time I got 12s. I got more push ups done and did a body press for a longer time!
This beep test was our last one of the year and I think I could have done better, and next year I"ll push myself and not stop and beat my score!:)

My Progress In Active Learning:)

Active learning so far is great, the activities that are chosen and are played are fun. When we played lacrosse a few days ago, I showed my best participation, I could tell cause I was sweating. I was passing and catching the ball and running back and forth. Another example is when we had fitness with the dumbbells and cardio. That day I tried hard to keep going and at the end I was sweating a lot. Sometimes I don't show my best participation like when we played extreme frisbee, I didn't put much effort in that. I think I am doing well in participating but should try more harder to participate in ALL activities we do. From all of that I think I should deserve a high B.:)

Fitness Tuesday

In Fitness today we had three choices to choose from the community run, pond run and the circuit run.
I chose to do the circuit run inside. And it was fun! At the end I was exhausted, but I felt good knowing I did run and went through all the obstacles that were set. My face was really red after the run and I was sweating too. A few people even came up to me and said that I am so red.
Fitness day today was fun and a liked the choices that were given. Now I am looking forward to next weeks Fitness Friday!:)

Reflection

PE is probably the only class I can say I look forward to, since you are free to do what you like. I think fitness days are sometimes really fun and I put my best effort on those days. My favourite fitness activity would be the 30sec on and 30 off and the circuits and my least favorite would be the hill run. Running up a hill  on a bright, hot, sunny day wasn't the best. Insanity was a great workout, but as they got faster, it was hard to keep up. Choice days are awesome since it is obviously our choice and playing ping pong or volleyball with your friends is great! For the rest of the year  I'm not thinking of joining anything... but I will try more harder and accomplish goals like looking back at my beep test score and beating it for a higher one. Overall having PE with Ms.Phillips is great and I'm looking forward to the rest of the year!!!:)
